Currently, I am a contributing writer for the San Francisco Chronicle’s food pages. My articles and recipes have appeared in many national magazines including Bon Appetit, Gourmet, Woman’s Day, Family Circle, Ladies’ Home Journal and Good Housekeeping. From 1987 to 1994, I wrote a syndicated newspaper column, “Easy Entertaining,” that reached over four million readers. From 1990 to 1997, I was a contributing editor to Master Choicemagazine, distributed bimonthly in the New York Times. From 1996 to 2000, I wrote a monthly column entitled, “Ask Marlene” for Safeway supermarket’s Select magazine, published by Sunset Publishing.
I have also assisted several chefs in writing their recipes and cookbooks.
